Biomonitor has a focused R&D effort on improving monitoring of biopharmaceuticals. The company introduced in 2003 its binding (BAb) and neutralizing antibody (NAb) assays for monitoring therapy of MS patients treated with IFN-beta, and cancer patients treated with IFN-alpha.

Other types of assays, to monitor compliance, bioavailability and immunogenicity of anti-TNF-alpha therapies, were introduced by Biomonitor in 2005. These assays are liquid-phase RIAs, and can be used for quantifications of all three currently approved anti-TNF drugs as well as semi-quantifications of antibodies to anti-TNF drugs developed in patients treated with these drugs.

Our product line iLiteTM are based upon the “gene reporter” technology which allows the precise measurement and/or sensitive detection of cytokine bioactivity in complex biological fluids in an easy, simple and rapid test format.

The company has been certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 13485:2003 for the design and manufacture of cell based assays for the detection of proteins.
